NOVAK continue to enhance their reputation for bringing iconic buildings to life with 4D projection techniques. “VOYAGE” will be on display from 28th Nov – 1st of Dec as the Lumiere Festival brings Londonderry’s tenure as City Of Culture 2013 to an end in a city wide celebration of light. “Voyage” is the third in a series of audiovisual projection works bringing local iconic buildings to life by weaving historically based references into the building with 4D projection mapping techniques[one_third] [/one_third] Established in 1830, Austins Department Store is reputedly the world’s oldest independent department store. Novak will create an audiovisual “VOYAGE” on the beautiful facade of the building drawing on the fantastical novels and imagination of Jules Verne, and popular culture from the late 19th and early 20th century .
Lustre is a video mapping projection film that celebrates Preston Hall’s popular collection of artefacts as well as Stockton’s wider impact on the world stage. It weaves a magical tale with bygone imagery, striking animation techniques and an evocative soundtrack
Diversion is a striking, abstract and evocative reflection of the bygone days of Whitley Bay’s Spanish City. This 4D projection mapping combined 2D and 3D animation with bespoke illustrations and a nostalgic soundtrack, conveying a fairground aesthetic that celebrated the buildings history in it’s centenary year.
