Loved Up?

Cheriton Lights:22nd+23rd Feb 6PM -9PM

I am looking forward to the 2nd Edition of the Cheriton Lights, an extraordinary event bringing high quality visual artists to reclaim the local streets of this sleepy Folkestone suburb.

Artists from the Program Music roster taking part include:

Digital Funfair: fusing art with play, Gavin Morris will roll out his new installation piece  “Light Hearted” – a giant LED heart that lights up when 2 people hold hands and kiss. High on a Church bell tower it will act as a beacon to the Beat Jigsaw  (a machine that instantly turns everyone into a superstar DJ)  &  PAC Bike – an exercise bike that serves as a controller for giant game of retro Space Invaders.

Novak: using a local church as a projection canvas, their commission “Jaunt” will feature a time travelling Dormobile backed with a groovy original soundtrack composed by Ed Carter. This iconic combi van with its familiar candy striped roof was a local design innovation back in the 50s. Several models will be present at the event and Ed’s soundtrack utilising samples of a variety of genuine Dormobile sounds…. What’s not to love?
